ABOUT AMLAP

Cognitive Science is a rapidly growing domain of scientific inquiry in India, comparable to nano-, bio- and information technology. In order to bring this community under one umbrella, the association was formed in the year 2013, few years after the Government of India, through Department of Science and Technology started the Cognitive Science Initiative. In the last four years, the Association met for the annual conference at IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar, University of Hyderabad and IIT Guwahati; this year the conference comes to the Tourist Destination of India in a big boost to the scientific community working in related areas here.

The conference is to be held on 12–13 February 2027 at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, India. With its focus on psycholinguistics and bilingualism, alongside broader perspectives from neurolinguistics and cognitive neuroscience, AMLaP Asia 2027 seeks to create an engaging academic environment for established researchers, early-career scholars, and students working across these interconnected fields. Along with invited talks, we will have paper presentations, poster sessions, and invited talks.
